Discover the SaunaRoom workshop — a place where natural Latvian juniper is transformed by careful handcraft into distinctive juniper panels and expressive sauna interior elements for projects across Europe.

From selecting the juniper material and preparing the cross-sections to composing, sanding and quality-checking each panel, every stage of production takes place in our workshop in Latvia. Every juniper wall panel, sauna hanger, sauna lamp shade and other natural wood interior object is created individually, preserving the material’s natural texture, form and unique character.

Our products are made for private saunas, SPA and wellness spaces, hotels, leisure complexes, sauna builders, architects and interior designers in different European countries. Each solution can be adapted to the dimensions, style and concept of a specific project.

SaunaRoom combines Latvian craftsmanship, natural juniper and contemporary sauna interior design. We do not create mass-produced decorations — we create individual interior elements that give saunas and wellness spaces a distinctive identity.

From an Idea to a Unique 3D Juniper Wall Panel for a Sauna Interior

This project began with a simple but very clear request from the client — they wanted something truly unique for their sauna interior, something that could not be found in any other sauna. Not a standard wall finish or ordinary decoration, but a distinctive natural feature that would become one of the main focal points of the space.

That idea became a custom-made 3D juniper wall panel. Hundreds of natural juniper wood slices in different shapes and diameters were carefully selected and arranged by hand. Every piece of juniper has its own grain pattern, colour, texture and organic shape, which means that no two juniper wood panels can ever be exactly the same.

The panel was built gradually, piece by piece, carefully finding the right position for every slice. Different heights were combined to create a pronounced 3D wood wall panel effect. As light moves across the surface, shadows reveal new details and depth, allowing the panel to change visually from different viewing angles. What begins as a sauna wall decoration becomes an integral part of the entire sauna design.

The finished panel combines everything the client was looking for — natural materials, handcrafted quality and a strong visual identity. The texture and characteristic aroma of natural juniper enhance the atmosphere of the sauna, while the three-dimensional surface gives the sauna interior design a distinctive and exclusive character.

Custom juniper wall panels can be used in private saunas, luxury sauna interiors, SPA facilities, wellness centres, hotels and relaxation areas. They work beautifully as a sauna feature wall, decorative wood wall panel, natural sauna wall cladding or a central element in a bespoke custom sauna interior.

The client wanted something unique. Our task was to transform that idea into wood — and let the natural character of juniper do the rest.
